ASALEM is situated directly on the spectacular Bay of Abraäo. Our proximity to the ocean offers rare, intimate glimpses of sea creatures such as starfish, crustaceans and turtles, as well as abundant schools of fish. The forest brings frequent visitors, including monkeys, squirrels, fireflies, blue butterflies and a wide variety of exotic tropical birds.
Help us choose fresh fish for our dinner, brought by local fishermen directly to our private waterside sundeck. We also offer fruit from our own trees, as well as herbs and vegetables for sumptuous and healthy meals.
Asalem is deliberately rustic. We favor the magic of candlelight and gas lamps. There are nights so clear that the Milky Way itself will light your evening walks.
Standard SuitesASALEM offers four comfortable Standard Suites that are situated at the top of the property to take advantage of the view of the Bay of Crena and Abraão. Each suite has a comfortable downstairs lounge area, replete with air-conditioning, fan, minibar, hammocks, floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors that, when open, give the feel of an airy pavilion. The suites open onto a terrace and landscape that resembles a tranquil Japanese garden. Bedrooms are located on an upstairs mezzanine for more privacy.
